Dear Grubhub, please fix your dispatch system so that it takes into account a driver's location in the region, how long it will take the restaurant to actually make the food, and whether the restaurant has even acknowledged that they received the order. The current system of dispatching drivers way too early and/or in a completely inefficient manner introduces additional delays, decreases profit, and decreases the quality of your platform to your customers, your partnered restaurants, and your partnered drivers. Your attempts to avoid actually fixing your dispatch system and instead mitigate this with bandaids such as removing information provided to drivers and taking orders away from drivers that are not "heading to the restaurant" (typically due to drivers having a better idea than GrubHub of how to actually use time efficiently) have made these problems WORSE, not better!

Dear DoorDash, I realize that the customer should generally be considered “king/queen” but do you need to come across to your drivers as such a bad-ass when there’s a dispute or complaint from a customer about a delivery? I know that there are probably more drivers who are deserving of that attitude than I am aware of, but can you reserve it for until such time as the driver is found “guilty?” There seems to be an attitude of “guilty until proven innocent” in your communications with drivers about allegedly undelivered food orders, or missing items, or the timeliness of a delivery.

Dear DoorDash, please, please, PLEASE improve the technical quality of your Android Dasher app! I can’t accept a delivery offer if I first have to flip to your app, watch the red “Starting” page recycle every 1-2 seconds and go nowhere, then open the Android settings, find the Dasher app, press Force Stop, then go back and relaunch the app.
